Curator's commentsThis is the first plate from a series of twenty small landscapes after Rubens by Schelte a Bolswert (Hollstein 305-324), made around 1638 (plate 12 is dated). The BM holds a complete set.
Hollstein also includes another plate in this series (plate 21, Hollstein 325) by Bolswert after Aertvelt, see 1841,0612.50.
