Original Art Deco tray, Germany, 1920s–1930s

An authentic Art Deco decorative tray of German origin, made in the interwar period. The piece has a glass surface decorated geometrically in black and silver, with a typically Art Deco design, elegant and well balanced.

The base is of wood, and the side handles are made of Bakelite (an early plastic), a material much used at the time. The chromed metal frame completes the modernist look of the piece.

Marked on the backs of the handles „Ges. Gesch. – Rusch – Germany”, indicating a legally protected design and production intended for export.

Condition: good for its age, with visible signs of wear (small scratches, worn points on the decoration and the frame), normal for an object nearly 100 years old. No major cracks or structural faults.

Dimensions 45x26x2.5 cm.
